How save one received email as a file?

Hello All:

When I was using OE, Outlook Express, one received email can be saved as a file as
EmailName.eml. It can be saved in any fold in your HDD. You double click it, it will open on your email software. If you want to send to friend, just needing to put it in your ATTACHMENT. It doesn't need to save in a special fold such as "label" in Gmail.

Where is the similar place/function of Gmail to save an " *.eml " -- Zhao

Unfortunately you will have to use a Desktop application with Gmail in order to get that feature. An alternative to saving a .eml version of the email, you could always print the email to a PDF (in Chrome click Save as PDF as the printer) and then send the PDF attachment.
