alernative to gandi for domain and email
 

I found eurodns does great stuff for email and domain stuff.
gandi has two maiboxes with the domain registered in them, each is 3gb, webmail is sogo or roundcube.
while eurodns has one mailbox with the domain for free, it's 5gb, powered by openxchange.
I registered two cheap domains at both of them today (one is .eu, another is .xyz, very cheap at the first year), and enabled the mailbox, both work nice.
comparision to gandi's webmail, I prefer openxchange a little more.
if you are finding the alternative to gandi for email and domain, then eurodns is a great choice.

yes, but even no privacy protection, they don't show any owner info to public.

Showing domain owners in WHOIS is obligatory for certain domain extentions, including .com, .net and .org.
You have to be careful with registrars who would propose to just put their details in the fields for domain administrators, technical contacts, etc. ; you want to be sure you own your domain yourself...

I'm not saying WHOIS privacy cannot come for free, depending on the registrar. But be careful when there is no free WHOIS privacy and the registrar still claims they don't display personal details in the WHOIS...
