Remind me
I have a file stored in Fastmail. I have also purchased a domain. I would like to connect the two such that entering the domain in a search engine will call up the file..
I am sure this is covered somewhere in the docs but cannot put my finger on the exact location. Where do I go to learn how to make this connection? |
From the main dropdown menu, select Files, then Websites
You can set web access to folders from there. |

It's true that the URL I want to use to connect to my file is not my personal website. Does Fastmail only allow one website to connect to its files? That's too bad. How should I understand that message??? |

Choose a different web site name, eg put something in front of the URL that your are using. You can have many web sites. They each need to be unique with respect to name and the folder to which they point. |
I have around 25 websites created, some of the URL's have been created to direct to certain parts of my websites.
I've set up a test website, using a subdomain I created (emd) to the fastmail domain, but of course you can set that to your own domain: http://emd.fastmail.com/test/ This lists the files in the test folder, but if you want a direct link just open the file in question then copy the URL from your browser, for example: Open testfile.pdf, the URL is shown as: http://emd.fastmail.com.user.fm/test/testfile.pdf You can copy that as a direct link. |
