FM App on Galaxy S6 Android 7.0
Anyone else having issues with the FM on their Galaxy S6 with Android 7.0?
For email to download onto the App, I have to close the App then re-open the App. If I wake the phone & the FM App is already open from a previous enquiry, then it won't download new email. Instead it just sits there doing the cycle of trying to connect to server - which it appears never to do. I have to close the App, then re-open the App for the server connection to succeed. I've tried clearing data & cache, and I've uninstalled and re-installed the App. I raised a ticket with FM. Seems that it's a known problem for the specific combo of Galaxy S6 and Android 7.0 I'm getting a bit frustrated with the oddball limitations of the FM app. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is not that old a phone or uncommon phone that it shouldn't be supported. :( (It also doesn't work on my Android tablet - different issues) Sigh :( Wondering if (hoping) someone might have found a fix for this? :) |
I'm not sure this is related to the FM app, but the AquaMail (Android email app) forum has discussed the Android v7.0 "battery saving" feature that prevents apps from running in the background. Email apps of course need to run to check the server so you need to make a setting change to allow the app to run. That's pretty much all I know about it.
