Fastmail did hire in the past a member of these forums as a UI designer. He started deigning an alternative UI in this old thread, long before he became a Fastmail employee. (One can also see in the OP of that thread a suggestion for a more sensible implementation of labels, without trading the folder tree structure. Sadly, this path was not taken).

Anyone know the code for making message view in light form while using dark mode theme? I prefer the images i get in my email to be light mode instead of dark.:D

I'm currently exploring FM and thought everything is good except for the web UI!

With a little CSS adjustment at least FM is more usable for me now, however I wonder why FM has stopped developing its UI/UX or the product altogether?

Don't get me wrong, I like all the unique features and some of them even mimic HEY's workflow which is great. Just that I'm worried FM will be abandoned when I ported over.

We should be happy that FM hasn't joined the "race to the bottom" in terms of continually making its web UI worse and worse for web users (like what's happening on a lot of other websites these days).

There are a few minor things I'd like changed, but overall, it works well for me.

Hear hear! I get very fed up with having to learn new ways to do things for no good reason - or, even worse, finding that a thing I used to do regularly and simply is no longer possible at all because the software has been "updated". Fastmail went through a phase a few years ago where they seemed to have a mania for change for change's sake, but it's a phase they have since grown out of, thankfully.

Fastmail moved their web to app.fastmail.com and now stylbot CSS wont work. :(

Since when? My Stylus still works with the web for now (using it as I type).

I’m using stylbot. Maybe stylus is not affected.
