Flakey Fastmail
 
Over the last few days I've been finding Fastmail access flakey.

Using webmail (Vivaldi 5.5.2805.38, Windows 10 19044.2130), the iOS Fastmail client and the Android Fastmail client.
Same problem over the home broadband and mobile broadband.

I haven't timed it (because I've been giving up after 5-10 seconds) but I'm finding that the mail and the calendar are showing the animated bars or 'Loading Events'.

They do eventually update (in the background, while I'm doing something else).

I've set up temporary alternative clients as a workaround (which works, but not my preferred way of working).

Is it just me?

PS I'm in Melbourne, Australia.

PPS I currently have Fastmail webmail open in both Firefox and Vivaldi (on the same PC). Firefox is showing Calendar events (in the RHS sidebar. Vivaldi is "Loading Events".

I'm using MS Edge.
It consistently loads FM and the calendar on RH sidebar in around 7-8 seconds for me after clicking the icon on my home page.
Seems normal.

They keep having delays. Are they under Ddos attacks again? Their tweets are vague. Just we are temp down

I'm used to a much faster response than that. FM pages were loading in less than 1 second, until a few days ago. (I reckoned the speed of loading legitimised the use of 'Fast' in their moniker.)

Occasionally I see my iOS FM app hang when opening where it just shows the progress bars. When that happens I just kill the app and relaunch it and the app launches correctly.

I wouldnt doubt it,seems like someone is always trying to hurt someone else :(

I used to judge whether Fastmail had major global problems by reference to the Pingdom report. I gave Fastmail great credit for making those reports public. Unfortunately, they have now decided to become less transparent, and taken those reports private.
