Give spammers a dead end account
 

When you sign up for a new service or register a program such as RealPlayer, give spammers what they deserve... a dead end.

Temporary garbage email addresses. Takes about 10 seconds to make. From 1 to 72 hours life span.

Don't dirty up that nice and clean Fastmail, GMX, MyRealBox, etc. account with dirty old spam. :(

(this sounds like an ad but it's just a recommendation) :D

that's a really good idea... do you know if there's any access to it if you have to confirm accounts for any reason?


EDIT: never mind... there's no access that I can find... makes it good for most things, except for those few obnoxious services that demand you confirm your address so they can spam you....

To confirm an account usually you will receive an email with instructions and a link that will open your default email program or a different link that you can copy and paste in your browser. It will confirm the Spamhole account, not the account you send with.

Another alternative is http://sneakemail.com
it's the same idea except the accounts don't delete until you tell them too. It was reccomended to me by another member of this forum. The downside is that you can't pick the name so it's somthing like 12faf33sffafgs3@sneakemail.com
