My boyfriend actually asked me yesterday, "So, who is this Jeremy, and why is he so great?" All I said was "Fastmail" and he relaxed...man, that was funny :)

I think I missed the instructions for setting my cat as an alarm clock. That sounds very useful and it seems to me that Stevie (the cat) has some extra time on his paws. I'd love to learn how to get him to work.

The cat was posted in the mega voicemail thread when the topic of wake-up calls came up in this thread:

That's her job 'sides napping. :) She wakes her mommy up! LOL

Ah..I see. Then it kind of depends on the cat, I guess. Mine only wakes up when hungry and he kind of figures we'll get up on our own before he starves to death. So far he's been right.

Thats a pretty funny list. Humour is always great. ;)

Ha! This was my favorite and is true. :)

You should also tell him about Rob and Krill... and why not? Edwin too. I bet he gets a FastMail account, if he doesn't have one yet, just to "check it out"... ;)

he hasn't checked his email in months. If I didn't check his email, he'd never know about his days off, or get any messages from anyone. I find that...scary, addicted to email as I am...

You should let him go to work on his day off. That way when he comes back home to find he had the day off, you can say to him:

"Didn't you know? It was in the email."

Reminds me of that line in the movie "The American President" when the White House staff was talking and Michael J. Fox said, "What? Today's Christmas?"

The other staff member said,

"Yes, didn't you get the memo?"

I actually fell out of my chair. That's how hard I was laughing.

If anyone--ANYONE--let me go to work when they knew it was my day off, horrible, HORRIBLE things would happen to them. HORRIBLE.

Although, I'll admit, I HAVE let him get up and get dressed for work before asking him, "Hey, where ya going? You don't have work today..."

If looks could kill...

I would have said,

"That was your boss on the phone. She wants you in extra early today for a meeting." :p ;)

kchess79 16 Jul 2002 06:10 AM

You're trying to get me killed, aren't you? You know how coffee addicts get before their coffee...jokes are NOT appreciated. Actually, any form of converation is unappreciated until he has his coffee.

HA! You know what I should do?

I should Click Here and use the "Email this Page to Someone!" feature below and email him this post :D

Well, not that it would be extremely effective
