Setting up custom email without need for a free email account

Hello Everyone

Is there anyway that I could make a custom domain email (firstname@lastname.io) without the need to sign up using free email service that I don't already like?

I searched alot but nothing so far, I'll appreciate your answers and thoughts on the topic.

First of all you need to register the lastname.io domain.

There are some email providers (mostly paid), which will allow you to host email for that domain on their servers. Fastmail.com is one of them, and it's definitely not free.

Hello JanusZ

Thanks for reply, sorry that I wasn't really specific, yes I'll have to register to any custom domain, but most of the them still ask you to sign up or register using an existing email of mine like a gmail or a yahoo which I don't want to do.

I would like to register, and make a custom domain email, and be the only one. Any more services like Fastmail you are familiar with?

Thanks alot

You need to find a provider to host your domain mail.

This means their mail server has to act as the mail server for your domain and that you need to set up the name service (DNS) records to point your domain mail to their server.

Few providers offer this service for free anymore. The only one I can think of is Zoho.com.

But you will have to set up the technical details for your domain on your own.

Many hosting providers, including domain registrars, offer mail service as part of their packages. This may include just forwarding, which can be used with other accounts to create full mail, or a real mailbox with client access. These packages can be very inexpensive and make setup easy.

if your email is important, I would suggest to use paid service, zoho was a good hosting (i'm with them since 2012) never had complain until July 2015, my email started to failing. came late, not came at all, sent email not arrive in destination.

I don't know why, so i move to paid service.

just try one off paid service and decide which one is suitable for you

Tutanota also do own domains if you use their paid service, which is currently €12 per year.

I think freemailseeker wants to buy a domain and set up email services without using another email address to set things up. I don't think it's possible.

If you become a provider (of everything you want to sign up to) you do not have to give out your credentials to anyone but yourself.
