How to import all my mail.ru messages to my gmail without spending a penny?
 
I know my question is easy to answer but problem is language(Russian).

By googling, I came to know only premium services will do the job.

I am edge of losing all mail.ru account.

I decided to set up gmail.

I want to import all messages(including folder) in mail.ru to my new gmail inbox.

Most of mail.ru tutorials are in Russian.

I use mail.ru since 2012 and I am very pleased with it. Imho its certainly on par with Gmail. However there are a few negative points regarding the use of mail.ru in western countries. Sometimes it can happen that your mail.ru mail ends up in the spam box from other email providers. It used to happen alot a few years ago...recently it occurs very seldomly. This is not the fault of mail.ru....but due to quirks in spam settings of mail providers outside Russia. Fe I know that especialy outlook has sometimes problems with mail.ru addresses. Yahoo/AOL also....but OO well...thats not something new.

Other thing is the fact that some help pages from mail.ru are still translated very bad into English. Thats true. They are (up till now) mainly a company whioch is focusing on Russia and other CIS countries...so its not a surprise their helppages are in Russian.

All in all i find yandex a little better in general to use in Western Europe. Thats my opinion. You might want to give it a try. Yandex has also datacenter in Finland and is a bit more oriented towards the west. They are registrated in the Netherlands...but that is for tax reasons i guess. Mail.ru is strictly russian.

AS for importing Gmail contacts...i dont know...because i try to avoid Gmail as much as possible.

It's built into gmail: Settings, Accounts and import, Import mail and contacts.
