upgrade
I have a Micro account and wish to pay $4.95 extra to host one domain. How can I do this?

Go to:
https://runbox.com/payment/payinfo You can either renew your main account (add a year on) or just select: No subscription, I'll renew the main account later Then select the Email Domains add-on. And pay. |
I believe that it's also possible, by contacting support first, to have the payment amount or the subscription period modified on an one-off basis, so that in the future payments (for account and extension) will be due on the same date.

Thanks FredOnline ana janusz. I appreciate your help. will let you know how it works out

Just to add to what has already been said; we will usually try to accommodate a request to change subscription periods to make them more convenient, but it isn't guaranteed as it depends on a number of factors. This can include number of products associated with an original payment, and payment method (PayPal is much less flexible)
We don't change the payment amount though; subscriptions are always the annual amount. |
Thanks dbowdley I solved problem by upgrading from Micro to Mini

Hi, sheprd.
Did you do it on your own or did you write to support and they took care of it? Thanks. -- Jacinto |
Thanks jacinto for your response. I contacted support then before hearing from them I decided to up grade my acct which solved the problem the simple way

I tried to do that this morning from the main account, but, I could only add another Micro S-A or renew the existing one. If you don't mind sharing, how exactly did you upgrade it? Thank you, again. -- Jacinto |
Hello. To upgrade a sub-account you have to purchase a new sub-account product subscription for the kind of sub-account you want to upgrade to.
You then go in to Account >> Sub-accounts and assign the new product to the existing sub-account. That leave you with the original sub-account product free to create a new sub-account of that type for the remainder of that product's subscription period if you want to do that. |
Thank you, dbowdley!
Would the new S-A have the same user name as the old one? If not, can the new S-A use the name after the old one expires? -- Jacinto |
When you upgrade, you don't actually create a new sub-account, therefore it retains the same username, password and contents.
What you are doing is purchasing a sub-account product (not a sub-account itself) and using the product to upgrade the existing sub-account so that it has more storage. It can be a bit confusing that sub-account products (which are not sub-accounts themselves), and sub-accounts (which are) have similar names. |
Thank you, again, dbowdley!
It is actually more than a "bit" confusing, perhaps two bits? :) Just to make sure I don't mess it up if/when I do it, are you able to post the exact URL where it would be done? Thank you. -- Jacinto |
You will find the option to create and upgrade sub-accounts under Account >> Sub-accounts which will give the URL https://runbox.com/mail/account_account
|
Much obliged, dbowdley!
How long does the "upgrade" take? I paid for the Mini S-A, but did not receive E-Mail confirmation of the same (except from PayPal). Nor is the Mini S-A "product" yet listed on the Sub-Accounts portal. Normally, when I do something on-line, the results are instantaneous. -- Jacinto |
