For me it is ... for time being I retain only the most important emails on several in house PCs via IMAP with mailsnare and let the rest accumulate in gmail, yahoo etc.
Who knows what will evolve...

Is there a way of immediate destruction of spam in gmail - ie I (or my children) never ge to see it? I'm sick to death of opening up the spam tag and having to quickly delete all this guff about...
