I purchased an Echo in early 2016 (2.5 years ago). To be honest, my main use for it is as a Bluetooth speaker for my PC. But it works well as a robotic helper.
- Alexa does a good job of recognizing her name and interpreting your question or directive, even in a noisy environment with a television running in the background.
- I find that the Bluetooth speaker feature works well and sounds good.
- Alexa now understands and answers a wide range of questions by default. See:

- Many other skills can be added with third party add-ons (many of which are free). See:

- I have a friend who uses many more of these features than I do. I need to remember to ask Alexa to do things.
