Ik.me is from the service Infomaniak.
They are known in Europe for their domain and web hosting.
I stumbled across it after looking into Switzerland's privacy laws, which are some of the best in the world.
They also have a drive, K drive I believe, similar to Google Drive, but more privacy oriented (and available on F-Droid, which is a bonus).
So I think it is here to stay around for quite a while, because it is the same email platform used when you buy a domain from them (they give you a free email and starter web hosting).
