Terry, no, I hadn't previously seen that page. It neatly explains the reasons for dropping the Member account service.

I saw the humongous 35 pages-long thread on that topic on this forum. I stopped reading at about page 7. The termination of my Member subscription was not a great loss to me but I saw that others had their noses put out of joint by this move by FM. I kept reading the thread to see if future plans for legacy Full accounts were discussed. They weren't, not by page 7 anyway, which is why I've posted my query here. So far there have been no bites from people in the know, I guess they're all still at the beach.

emoore, yes, I realise that my Full account can still be renewed with discounts for the purchase of multiple years of subscription. I will likely end up renewing my Full account this way to maintain my FM account. If there's a reason to change to a Basic account later I'm sure unused Full account credit would be rolled over. One reason to change would be knowing that discounts for multiple years' advance payment for the Basic service are available.
