hey,
thanks for your suggestion.

i figured there was no way to do this in plain text. so i've been flirting around with html for some of my message. the problem is that the html editor is changing the basic code into this (below):

<pre>&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;img src=&quot;http://graphics10.nytimes.com/images...9x64.gif&quot; /&gt;

i can insert the code in the raw view but that seems annoying. anyway to keep the html editor from doing this?
