This site is a gem
It is illegal to sell peanuts in Lee County after sundown on Wednesday. (Alabama)
Dominoes may not be played on Sunday. (Alabama)
There is a possible 25 years in prison for cutting down a cactus. (Arizona)
It is unlawful to refuse a person a glass of water. (Arizona)
A person may not cross state lines with a duck atop his head. (Minnesota)
Citizens may not enter Wisconsin with a chicken on their head. (Minnesota)
Florida (accidentally) banned all computers and smart phones in internet cafes
A special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing. (Florida)
It is illegal to milk another person’s cow. (Texas)
and so on... that website is a true gem! But the US isn't the only country with silly laws still in the lawbook. I recall one Australian state (not sure by heart which one) prohibiting shooting a kangaroo when the arrow is going northbound.
And I'm sure when going through the lawbooks of virtually
every country you'll find laws that are beyond absurd. Probably very old laws that are never enforced but that people somehow forgot about and thus never bothered to remove from the lawbook.
