Of course, free Gmail offers 15GB of storage, seemlessly synced calendars on any device, seemlessly synced contacts, unlimited online photo storage, Google Drive with a mini-office suite of programs that are just as good as ones some people pay for, plus integration with a lot of other very useful services. Outlook.com offers something similar for free, but with less storage.
