Which version of IE were you using? Were you aware that it's supposed to require IE7? Although I've never even tried to login with IE myself, since I still don't have anything newer than IE6, so I've only ever used FF for logging into Gmx.com. With the limitations of my aging system, I don't bother updating anything until or unless I have to.
