Tutanota offers 1GB on their free tier, ProtonMail 500MB. Both are open source.
I would think you'd see more prospective subscribers stopping by to try out Mailfence if the entry level allotment at least matched ProtonMail.
What is the reason for keeping the private keys on the server?
