Answer to my question is yes if the email app supports the type of two actor authentication that fast mail has implemented which apple has not .

Also the 2 factor system is better as you cannot actually get control of an email account with the app specific password. You cannot login to the web interface with the app specific password. So you can view all my emails with an app specific password but never steal my account.
