Free sucks. Abuse of course, but also free users can be some of the most demanding and rude ones out there. I don't know what it is about free that attracts the worst in people that think you owe them something.
When I first moved away from free and started requiring payment I got several responses threatening lawsuits. Claiming it would damage their "business" was a popular complaint. Apparently they can afford attorneys but can't afford to pay me $5.
