If I'm filling out a survey or some other situation in which a phone is required, and I don't necessarily want to give out my actual #, I have always used the area code of the state I live in and then 555-1212. When I first did that, I was tempted to use Jenny's # (867-5309), but that might be somebodies actual phone #, and I have no reason to bother them..
