From what I understand of
bandwidth, it is the number of bits that goes through a connection. So if you are loading slow, it means that you are moving a smaller number of bits per time slice, hence you will not be losing bandwidth.
If someone has a fixed bandwidth of, say, 1 GB per month and that person has a superfast connection and moves 1 GB in 1 day over a connection that can sustain that rate, than the entire month's bandwidth has just been used up. If you have a slow connection and can only move 1K in a day, you would use up 30K/31K in a month.
Unless there is time being factored in, I wouldn't worry about losing bandwidth.
