No: what it means is that it is easy to get lost in the crowd. If you concentrate on doing everything, better than anyone else, you will usually be beaten (at some point in time) by a competitor.
If you have gained a reputation (as Pobox has) for doing one single thing (better than anyone else) you become widely known, and acclaimed, for that one single thing. Pobox. com developed forwarding systems (that work without problems)
