The post count feature confuses many forum members. The post count is tied to your user name at EMD, not to any specific post. So if you look at any post (one made in Jan 2014 or April 2015), the post count is associated with your user name and the time you are looking at the count, not to the original post date. So if you went into your member page and the list of all of your posts, yesterday you might see "25", but if you then made another post today the count would be "26" on each of those posts. This is because it's your current post count, not the count when you made the original post.
