Chinese products are no longer necessarily low-price or poor-quality. Ask anybody in the twisty-puzzles fandom, especially speedcubers; although Seven Towns holds the official licence to use the "Rubik" brand, Chinese cubes such as those made by Yongjun (YJ), especially under their MoYu brand, or by Mf8, are of much better quality; especially now that official Rubik's Cubes are made with rivets rather than screws, and are thus impossible to tune to optimal tension.
My recent acquisitions include a Mf8 Dino Cube, a YJ Fenghuolun (Windmill Cube), and a complete set (2x2x2 to 5x5x5) of MoYu cubes.

I agree with you in that Chinese products are no longer necessarily cheap. With the increase of people's salary and inflation, it is becoming very hard for them to keep the price low.
