Mine came about around 8 or 9 years ago when I was looking for a new email address. I took one of my nicknames "Ster" and added an ancient sounding part to it, "eus" (pronounced eee-us). I'm not entirely sure if I took it from Transformers, ala Optimus or from one of the Roman or Greek rulers, ala Octavius, but it ended up being Sterdeus.
And all google searches indicate that no one else is using it yet! |

I was doing ster (rhymes with stir -- like stir the coffee) plus us (rhymes with bus) Now that I know it's eee-us, need to find out about the first half. Is it pronounced: 1) Ster -- rhymes with stir (like stir the coffee) or 2) Ster -- rhymes with "stair" (like climb the stairs?) |

When I made it up I tried to think of something that could only be read and pronounced one way. I failed. I guess it could be 1) sterde-us 2) ster-deuce 3) sturdy-us And its Ster the coffee My name, Allister is pronounced the same way. Your explanation of Chipper didnt really explain the details of how Chipper came to be. Did you chip your tooth as a kid? |

But George III reminded me of my brother, Byron III. But to my grandmother -- who I guess never considered him exactly her favorite grandchild -- at least out of his earshot, "Byron the third" became Byron the turd. |

The middle name + the street you grew up on was known in these parts as your
"Porno actor name".. as they often resulted in a grandiose combination often found rolling in the credits of that genre. Mine is ":Fredrick Handsome" |

Neat idea. Shame I don't have a middle name. Perhaps someone can suggest one I can use instead.

Don't feel bad, I have one but I hate it and only use it when necessary for legal purposes or when I have to in order to "distinguish" myself from others with the same common first and last names (so consider yourself lucky if you don't have this latter "problem" anyway ).
