Update
I wrote to support a long time ago, but I never received any reply. (I suggested that they should read this thread!)
I was able to log in once using a proxy, but then that method stopped working also. That is where the matter stood until a day or two ago. Then, all of a sudden, things returned to normal. Regular login is available once again and everything works as it did before. There is still no word from support, and no indication anywhere about what may have happened. Not a very good performance, is it? Anyway, at least for the moment, the problem has cleared up. |

mail.india down - November, 2017
Well, two years on, and after functioning fairly well during that time, mail.india once again is down (confirmed at isup.me). I haven't been there in a while so I have no idea how long it may have been down. Does anyone else know anything more informative??

Still down for me, checking from North America at the moment. The service has been down for at least twenty-four hours, perhaps more. Odd that it should be OK in Europe.

still down
How can a site like mail.india still be down for such a long time? Do we have any forum members who might have an idea what is going on?

Isup.me confirms that it's down where I am and has been for a long time (since I've checked it with them before). I can imagine a few scenarios that could cause a site to be down in one part of the world and up in another, but probably not for weeks and weeks on end. Would someone more tech-savvy than I am explain how that happens? Thanks. And how can mail.india be informed of the situation if they're unaware of it?

It's back!
Finally! After many days, the service is suddenly back up for me. I have no idea why it was unavailable and no idea why it came back. Mail.india behaves strangely at times.
