Can I import a.ics file?
I use Fastmail via the website in Windows. Sometimes another site will invite me to download an appointment in a .ics file. Is there any way to import those files into my Fastmail calendar?
Windows doesn't seem to allow me to set Fastmail as my default calendar. Am I missing something? I just tried doing it in Thunderbird but the import keeps failing. PS I also use the app on an Android phone in case that opens any options. Last edited by Fenman : 15 Jan 2024 at 03:17 PM. |

In Windows, I can drag an ics file from the Windows Explorer to a browser tab with Fastmail's webmail client in it' and it asks me to choose the calendar to which the appointments in the ics file would be added (I never really used it because I like to enter my appointments by hand). I tried it with Chrome, but I guess it should work the same in any browser.

Ahah! It works in Edge, too. Many thanks, hadaso.
Duh! Two days later I just found that both the website and Android app have a menu item to import a calendar file. All is good. Last edited by Fenman : 18 Jan 2024 at 02:58 PM. |
