list on left of screen

The column on left of the screen ( sent, compose, etc ) is in Icons and i wish it
to be in Print. It will change to Print if i hold Mouse Pointer over there but goes
back to Icons if i remove Pointer Any help much appreciated

Top left of screen, gray circle with 3 horizontal lines, click on that.
