The most lasting free service in the future
Which is the most lasting FREE service in the future?
I vote for: www.laposte.net www.poste.it I think that french and italian postal services will not close in the future. |

We'll never know until one of them is the only one left standing at the free level. But why them? Why not include yahoo and hotmail? Perhaps, you should re-phrase your question.

I don't see how free stuffs can be lasting. Even hotmail and Yahoo might go for fee in future once all their value added stuffs are no longer free...

Yeah Free Services do have a tendency to turn PAY! I pay for runbox now after what I went through with MailService.Ms, I think email will all be pay in the future.

Although the free services could turn to fee in the future but I am sure new free services will popup to take over those that close or turned fee. Free services may not last but you won't see the last of them

I hope that there will always be a free account level on these services, at least Yahoo and Hotmail. At least to send a basic text message.

http:///www.areacomp.it is one I used when I lived in Italy. Found it very good although not webmail - provider.
I like the look of www.poste.it, I will certainly give it a try. As for Hotmail and Yahoo, I'm sure that it will remain a free service no matter what. |

I never understood why postal services offer free email, which is eroding their postage revenue. |
