I've got the exact same pc as DBH
And I think I am in the only person in the Netherlands who has a pc like this because the HP 502n was only sold in the US.

Leisuresuitlary, we have 2Ghz Pentium 4's at work and I can't tell that they are any faster than mine at all.

I'm getting an inferiority complex. Mine got reworked, swapped and upgraded but it's still miles behind most of these. It started life as a PII350/128 with an 8.4 gig Western Digital HD running Win 98 and now it's an Athelon 500/256 with 2 10 gig Western Digital HDs running Win2k. Works pretty well, though. I mean, it's working to capacity. I can run DWMX and a graphics program and FTP and browser together, but it slows down with all of that open and one more hog, like Word could freeze me up. No cash for upgrades now, though. I'm just happy we're still going and if I don't go nuts with multi-tasking it's pretty quick.

1. Athalon 1400, 60gb disk, 512mb ram, Win2K/Linux
2. Old Compaq pressario notebook (early Pentium, memory faulty, battery no longer connects), Win98SE eventually to be Linux
3. Older IBM Thinkpad 486 (works perfectly for wordprocessing, battery is good), Win95
4. basic Palm (M100?) -- I don't really use this toy anymore since I lost my data twice in between battery changes.... I know I should have sychnonized it, but the software only works on the seldom used administrator login of Win2k, but I have yet to figure out what to do about this.

I'll join in on the fun...

AMD Athlon XP 1700+, running at 1544 Mhz.
384 MB Ram
80 GB HD
40 GB HD (grand total of 120 GB)
40x/12x/40x burner
52x CD-Rom drive
Nvidia GForce 4 3-d card
2 USB ports
(perhaps slightly off-topic, but I like to brag: ) Logitech MX 700 Mouse, about 3/4th year old now, still top-of-the line
Wireless headset so I can be notified of mail throughout the house, with recharable batteries.
17" monitor

I'm currently saving for additional RAM and perhaps a new hard disk to replace the 40 GB one. It's getting full and I hate throwing stuff away I might need later on.

Apart from this I've also got about 7 computers ranging from 486's to PII's in various states of disassembly, their parts being stripped out and organized in boxes, so in case someone needs a spare hard drive/video card/soundcard/modem/etc I can provide in that. Also was considering building a cluser-ish machine from those spare PC's, never got that off the ground though.
