Hello Walter,

Contact your network administrator at work and request more information about this issue.

You might need special permission from your work to access your Fastmail account.

Also Have to tried accessing your FM account using the following URL:

http://www.fastmail.net/

Are you getting the same error message?

Just a thought.

David

Walter,

Depending on what e-mail client you use, I would try adjusting your port numbers and see if that helps-your work environment may be blocking access to certain port numbers.

Just an additional thought

At the bottom of this FM help page you'll find the IMAP server names that you can use in combination with any port. Common ports like 80 or 25 might be left open by your work IT admins.

You might also want to read this thread on firewall avoidance measures; it suggests to use an http tunnel (by installing a small piece of software).

I thougt there was some feature that would let you send and receive from your work email and make it appear to be to/from fastmail. Can't seem to find details now...

There is: it's called "email reflecting" and whilst still under development, it seems to work.

Click on options, rules, then reflecting to set it up.

Fastmail's help screen about it is here:

Good luck.

Fastmail.fm, fastmail.net, and all IMAP servers are down. THAT is the issue.

MessagingEngine.com Server Outage

===
EDIT: OK, after 2 minutes, fastmail.net finally resolved. But I still cannot log in. Also fastmail.fm and IMAP servers are still unavailable. Something is wrong.
