gmail mail deleted

I had downloaded the gmail app on my iphone and was goofing around with it, looking for some email threads from one particular contact. I'm not sure what happened, but I thought I clicked to send him an email by mistake, so I went to cancel the screen that came up. I clicked cancel and nothing happened, so I clicked delete and it deleted. So I thought I had simply deleted an new email that I didn't want to send. Then I was on my laptop in the same gmail account and saw that all of his emails have been deleted from my inbox! All of my sent mail to him are still there. His name is still in my contact list.
What happened??????? I need to get all of those emails back into my inbox from that person.

The mails which you have deleted from your inbox, may still be in Trash folder. So open your Gmail account on your laptop and open Trash folder to select the deleted mail and go to "Move to" option to move them all back in your inbox.
