yahoo breach
how were some hackers able to penetrate well over 500 yahoo email accounts? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_data_breaches would anyone care to shed some light here??? how come these russian hackers were able to steal so much data in the first place? how come hackers are getting better and better as far as breaching emails and online financial institutions progressively then???? can someone please give me their opinion here please????

2 reasons:
1) there are alot of crazy nerds out there. 2) NO SYSTEM IS 100% SECURE. there will always be some bug or hole that people can hop in. thats why company always hire a bunch of security to monitor their system 24/7 |

The Wikipedia article you refer to talks about events in 2016 and earlier.
If, as you say, only over 500 (over by how much???) accounts were compromised, in general terms there isn't too much to worry about. |
