Settings, preferences, then at the bottom click advanced preferences, I think that is what they call it.

settings -> preferences -> show advanced preferences -> advanced -> UI font
You only get two choices; Source Sans Pro, whatever that is, but I like it and it's smaller than the second choice which I always used previously, i.e., system font. |

This is a complex subject. The default "system font" is often recommended to developers as it, in principle, allows users to choose the behaviour they want using operating system and browser settings. I cannot remember all the details which I think are quite dependant on your operating system and browser choices.

Thanks BritTim for your response. I have Windows 10 and use Google Crome Browser. A leading Rival of FM said they would be working on getting a Default Font feature.

I do not have time to play around with this right now, but with System font selected within FastMail, you could try playing with the Customize fonts settings within Chrome.
