Email Hosting / Additional fees
Hello there
I've been waiting for a long time for the Email Hosting feature now it's here, but only 1 domain name can be hosted for free. I'm not quite happy about that. I don't want to pay additional fees for every new feature I want to use. Well I'm now in the situation that I need an additional domain name hosted by runbox. But I didn't find any price information how much it would cost, to have the possibility to host a second domain, and the second thing is .. I don't wanna pay for every additional feature. My runbox account is soon getting more expensive than a full featured web hosting account with another provider. Now my questions is do you guys intend to increase the number of free E-Mail Hosting domains or do we have to pay for every additional domain? Thanks Manuel |

Hi Manuel,
The runbox email hosting is as you know pretty new, and we actually have not decided on all the details of the functionality and pricing yet. The setup of one domain is now automated, and we have made it a priority to make thing automatic as much as possible. We are working on the interface now, and it will be possible to set up more domains. In the meantime, until more domains is avaliable automatically, you could set up a second runbox account with your new domain and forward this email to your primary runbox account. We will be happy to extend the free trial of that account until you can host more domains automatically and move that domain to your primary account. Thank you. |

Do you "need" your domain to be hosted at Runbox or you just "want" your domain hosted at Runbox? Have you considered the alternatives? Many domain name registars provide email and URL forwarding for free with your domain registration. I've been using NameCheap.com and GoDaddy.com for a few years and they have been fairly reliable. If your domain registrar doesn't offer these features you could transfer to a registrar that does. Also, there are DNS services like ZoneEdit.com that will host the DNS for your domain for free provided they are low traffic domains. ZoneEdit will allow you up to 5 domains without charge. They provide both email and URL forwarding. These are a couple of free options you currently have available to you. Regards, Rich |
