Is the Fastmail app using OAuth2
https://www.fastmail.com/help/clients/apppassword.html says "Unlike a mail client, our mobile app does not need to save your password. After you successfully log in, the server sends our app a login token which it uses to authenticate you from then on. "
Is it using OAuth2? |

The Fastmail mobile client uses JMAP. See:
RFC 8620 - The JSON Meta Application Protocol (JMAP) http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc8620.html A search in that document finds: Oauth 2.0 [RFC6749] Fastmail uses TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) techniques. See: https://fastmail.blog/2016/07/22/how...tor-apps-work/ If you want to discover more you might find something on the Fastmail Github repository: https://github.com/fastmail Bill |
