No folders in subscribe w TBird 3.0.4

Have been using Eudora but am trying out Thunderbird 3.0.4 and can not get IMAP with a free account. Have tried SSL/StartTTLS and none.

Result is that when I do a subscribe I see no folders at all. The folders show up in the fastmail web interface.

IMAP should definitely work on a free account. Have you reviewed the docs for setting up subscriptions in Thunderbird?

Was following two other Thunderbird IMAP instructions on the site here and I think the problem was the INBOX. in the IMAP server directory was not set.
