Unhappy Zoho VERY flaky the last few days.

Hi!

Zoho mail IMAP and SMTP, paid and free, seems to be only intermittently functional on all clients. As far as I can tell, webmail and server-to-server functions are still fine. This has been going on for at least a day or two, and their response has not been encouraging.

A thread on their own support forum gives a good overview of the situation: https://forums.zoho.com/topic/proble...-smtp-and-imap

Thanks.
D.

I've not noticed any problems the past week or so with Zoho, and I use it every day.

Yikes! I was just about to try opening an account with them next week, as I'm abandoning Hotmail.

Odd. For me it was terrible. I suppose that it could have been isolated to a few places on Earth, but it doesn't sound like that from the threads there. You were using a third party IMAP client?

In any case, it's working for me now.

Thanks.

It might still be a good idea. ALL mail services have some down time. Just read their support threads at
https://forums.zoho.com/zoho-mail/using-zoho-mail (June 18-19) before you decide.

Good luck.

Using K-9 Mail App to my smartphone - no problems at all recently.

Can I ask for your experiences of Zoho mail prior to the recent issues you mention? I ask as I was considering migrating from Tuffmail to Zoho mail but the recent issues and the support response has put me off (see my thread athttp://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=69146).

You will get what you pay for. In this case pay nothing get nothing,

That's what I thought but there seem to be quite a few people who are happy enough with the service...

As I've said before, I no longer trust free Internet services in general for very important matters, so I wouldn't use any free service as my main ESP, but I've been very satisfied with Zoho.

Thanks.
