Just curious: why do you dislike the Auto-Save, which only kicks in when something nasty would happen otherwise (from experience: close the browser window by mistake)?

Why disable it? Because it's been broken for years and Fastmail don't seem to care to fix it. They should at least offer a way to disable the wretched thing.

P, you appear to be the only person suffering the malady. They cannot duplicate the problem. That's why they would ignore it. There are bigger truly broken things about that interface that they seem unable to deal with. Even though I sympathize with your problem it doesn't seem even to be a big deal to you: what's some excess clutter in your draft folder?

Excess clutter means extra time wasted deleting garbage files.

True, but select all and delete is effective. I'm sympathetic to the problem, but it can't be duplicated by the developers and it hardly seems to be the worst of the huge number of problems this product has.

The problem can't be duplicated? The problem is how to turn off this feature.
Maybe blocking j.script would do it... |

If you read the link to the wiki earlier, you can see how Prognathous suffers it and Rob can't recreate it. It does not affect me, either. I have found the feature helpful more than not.
