PolarisMail Enhanced Interface - New Theme

We would like to offer several new themes in our Enhanced interface and was curious if you guys had any input. There are two levels of changes we can implement:

1. We can simply re-style current elements but everything would still be placed at the same location and under the same layout.

2. We can go even deeper and change the layout itself

What kind of changes do you guys want ? Any comment is appreciated and will be taken into consideration. You may say something like:

- Make the fonts bigger/smaller
- No more preview pane for messages by default
- Make the interface cleaner/simpler

I would like to see a choice of whether we want a preview pane or not

A tab to mark all for deletion would be nice instead of having to do one at a time

I would like to be able to pop some of my accounts in instead of imap

A coupe extra themes would be nice like squirrel mail or horde have

I know this seems like a lot but I think more customers would like most of these

These are just suggestions I'm not sure how much work they would be

Question

Would it be possible to put up a public enhancements/wish list where people can post new desired changes, feedback, and see status on items approved for work? Perhaps somewhere on wiki.polarismail.com?

Thanks.

I'd love to see the possibility to select the "outlook" layout when replying to emails, instead of "On Sunday, 27.05.2012 on 9:53 XYZ wrote:"

When forwarding, it is set the way I mean.

Regarding theme changes: Maybe some other colors?

Another feature that I think would be great is the ability to enter custom CSS settings that get loaded and override existing CSS settings when logging in. For example, I currently use the Stylish plugin in Chrome to modify some of the CSS elements to make then work better for me. It would be nice to have the CSS changes stored in Polarismail so the changes would be present regardless of which browser I use. I believe Fastmail has something similar to this. Although not directly related to email, many Wordpress themes also offer this functionality so I'm guessing it's not that difficult.

Thanks.

Small preview of what we have been up to. These are our mods since visually not much has changed in GO itself.

http://i.imgur.com/aSCPP.jpg

- added keyboard shortcuts. compose, reply, delete, etc
- added option to enable/disable message preview
- added checkboxes
- options menu to move/copy/delete messages
- number of unread messages appears in the title bar
- option to save replies with original message
- to view a message you can simply double click on it and it will pop-up within the interface

We are also working on a few themes, including one with bigger fonts.

As usual, if you have comments/suggestions, keep them flowing.

Those changes look awesome! When can we expect to see those changes in the system? Need someone to beta test?

Thanks!

Is the "added option to enable/disable message preview" live yet?

I can't see a way to change option inside GO itself.

Here's a suggestion: Roll it out to production ASAP.

I like it.

Is there a place where one can change or suppress the audible sound when a new message arrives?

Settings->Look & Feel

There are options to mute all sounds or just mute email and/or reminder sounds.

Thanks, got it now. I'm still feeling my way around, and most frequently use a client rather than the office interface.

It will be at the same time as the launch of the new webmail interface. I'm thinking about 2 weeks from now.

Good news is that it will also include HTML e-mails for ActiveSync and a new mobile interface as well.
