Three different login screens
OK... I'm confused. I use Linux and my main browser is Galeon. Using Galeon, when I go to www.fastmail.fm, I get a login screen that has prices & detail for all the membership levels at the bottom of the screen.
If I use Mozilla as my browser and go to www.fastmail.fm, I get the same screen WITHOUT the membership info at the bottom. If I use the Nautilus file manager to go to www.fastmail.fm, I get a completely different login screen that I've never seen before! Anybody have any idea what's up? Rick |

Fastmail generates a random login screen, based on ur browser and OS. So, when you login using Galeon/ Linux, you get one screen; when you login using Mozilla/ Linux, you get another. Once you are "assigned" a particular login screen, you always get that (as you have a cookie stored on your machine, I guess).

A little explaining of why they are doing this:
A while back there was some discussion of the Login screen. Many people thought that it needed improvement, so a free-for-all design "contest" was launched. Many designs were made, and a few (I think approximately 15 or so) were picked. Currently Fastmail.FM is running a test to see which of these logins will become the final one, by basing on how many signups each login screen generates. If there's one that scores way above the others that's going to be it. Soon Fastmail will start an advertising campaign, after that campaign is over the final Login will be decided. At least, that's how I remember it... ==K== |

Yep, that's pretty much it. There's 7 screens in the test.
