Yeah, if you don't mind a hacked Yahoo interface with graphic ads everywhere, and a full page ad before you even get to your inbox.

Yeah well I don't mind as I have a Fastmail account as well, and I'm going to continue to have one. But for a play account to store trash in when signing up to web sites etc, it will store a lot more than my old hotmail account.

Do you mean Walla.com has ads everywhere ??

I have account with www.walla.com and I could not find any ad with this service. Homepage is very clean (only login information) and then directly into inbox without any ad.

They appear to have cleaned up. When I signed up with them there were ads everywhere. I thought that they were trying to send me unconsious

But, I still do not recommend them. They can put those ads back in as easily as they took them out. And take a look at their ToS. I'm sure something in there is really unpleasant.

Some people might not like that email is sent out of Walla only in HTML format that is base64 encoded, so it is not readable on text only email clients. (no text part, and still, despite having a single MIME part, it is buried inside two levels of "multipart"...)

Another thing is that there is no contact address. Even Hotmail/Yahoo provide human assisstance to free users sometimes.
