I get about 50 a day to my Hotmail account, but I only check that once a week. Otherwise I get about 2 spams a week to my other accounts.

I get 40-50 a day across my various email accounts. For a brief period, I was getting in excess of 1,000 spams per day, until I figured out how to switch off the "catchall" on my parked domain name collection (and believe me, when you're facing that kind of spam deluge, you learn QUICKLY!)

I get NO SPAM in my FastMail.FM mailbox. I use the mail account from my ISP when asked to post my e-mail address on the web. The ISP provided e-mail accounts I get on average 10-20 per day per account, and I have two.
My ISP, whom I shall gladly say is Time Warner/Road Runner, has great cable modem access to the internet but is simply the WORST e-mail provideder as they do no checkin for mail coming from Open Relay servers. Also, by their own admission their e-mail services are degraded due to the tens of thousands of e-mails their subscribers get per day. - Gerry |

I get spam only in my hotmail account. Most of them have a sexually explicit content.
The funny thing is that some of the spam mails have my hotmail address as it's from address. So now I've set up a filter to reject all the mails which has my name in the from field. Guke |

I stopped using hotmail because of the amount of spam received (mostly sexually explicit, also), even after setting my filters and blocking senders, I get a moderate amount of spam in my yahoo account, and no spam whatsoever in my fastmail account, and I haven't set up any filters whatsoever.

I've been using Hotmail since 1995 and Y!Email since 1997.
Hotmail is the worst - it is as bad as it gets. Over 50 spam messeges a day. Yahoo is way way better. I get only 1-2 spams a week. I conducted experiment and opened 1 brand new Hotmail and 1 brand new Yahoo email account. After 1 month (without using any of the accounts), the results are: Hotmail: 38 Yahoo: 0 |

I reopened my hotmail account that I had let go. I have gotten almost 400 spams in the last ~2 months!!!!!!
Most of it has been porn and junk. Even some mortgage and other stuff. Filters don't work and I have tried blocking @hotmail but it doesn't work. And, I even opened a hotmail account as an experiment and that was an Abandoned account (not mine). I've gotten 20+ spams at that address. The third address I got, (well, I had another address, but there was a problem with the password, so I couldn't reopen that one), with _ between the username words, and no spam yet, since its hard to guess. Yahoo email, I get occassional spam (less than 5 a month) (4 accounts there - one has gotten a lot because someone accidentally linked to the address on a website for the high school reunion). That makes me mad because this address was not intended to be linked to. And, its been nothing but gibberish in the subject, so its hard to make a filter. Fastmail, I don't give that address out to anyone, and haven't gotten any Spam. |
