FM slow in delivering incoming messages

The following is a test I did today (after I was noticing slow delivery). I used OE to send a message, using FM's SMTP server, to an outside email address that actually forwards back to FM.

Looks like something internal to FM hung onto my message for ~7min. The rest of the process all happened in under a minute.

Here are the relevant Received: headers

Code:
Received: from frontend2.messagingengine.com (frontend2.internal [10.202.2.151])
	by server2.fastmail.fm (Cyrus v2.2.3) with LMTP; Mon, 19 Apr 2004 13:37:08 -0400
Received: from smtp-1-4b.secureserver.net (smtp-1-4b.secureserver.net [64.202.166.37])
by smtp.us.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4066330AFB0
	for <MY_FM_ADDRESS>; Mon, 19 Apr 2004 13:30:51 -0400 (EDT)
Received: (qmail 30988 invoked by uid 1000); 19 Apr 2004 17:30:48 -0000
Received: (qmail 30980 invoked from network); 19 Apr 2004 17:30:47 -0000
Received: from out2.smtp.messagingengine.com ([66.111.4.26])
          (envelope-sender <MY_FM_ADDRESS>)
          by smtp-1-4b.secureserver.net (qmail-ldap-1.03) with SMTP
          for <MY_NON_FM_FORWARDING_ADDRESS>; 19 Apr 2004 17:30:47 -0000
Received: from MY_HOST (unknown [MY_IP])
by mail.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id D612FA625CA
	for <MY_NON_FM_FORWARDING_ADDRESS>; Mon, 19 Apr 2004 13:30:51 -0400 (EDT)

I managed to log in (to my Guest account) alright, but after about five minutes I started getting screens like this one:

Quote:
fastmail.fm - An error has occurred
Unfortunately an unrecoverable error occurred while trying to retrieve the requested page. We have logged this error and will try and fix the problem as soon as possible.

If you are really curious to know, the error was :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Failed to create screen: Mailbox, Could not connect to IMAP server. Please try again shortly. username@server2.internal at /home/mod_perl/hm/MailApp/Common.pm line 904.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the moment please click the 'Back' button on your browser and try again. If that doesn't work, please go to http://fastmail.fm and login again.

I'm still receiving error messages when trying to access Fastmail via IMAP, but the status blog doesn't have any mention of this. Should I inform them about the problem?

Now when I try to log in I'm getting the message:

The server where your email is stored is currently down for maintenance. We expect it to be available in around 5 minutes. We apologise for the inconvenience; any email sent to you during this time is being queued by another server and will be delivered as soon as the maintenance is complete.

Did you refresh the status report?
Maybe the server was up on the last refresh; maybe IMAP is up and Web is down. Maybe Server1 is up and Server2 is down.

The error messages (search for "network provider responds ping perfectly") indicate it connects to the IMAP server.

Earlier today, when server1 was down and server2 wasn't (and IMAP was slow), it indicated downtime.

I have been getting the following message as well for the past few _days_. I appear to be connecting through IMAP (Mail.app on OS X doesn't report any errors), but I haven't been receiving any mail that I know I should be receiving.
