Inbox - year missing from Received field

The title of the thread almost says it all.

Since 1st January 2004 the year is not displayed in the "Received" field in "Inbox".

I see "31 Dec 2003" 21:47", followed by "1 Jan 5:50".

Why, and how can this be rectified please?

I think this is as simple as that when the year value is the same as the current year, no year is displayed in the lists. Probably to reduce information/clutter in your inbox. Don't think there is a setting to turn this back on though.

Yeah, it only shows the year when it's not the same as the current year. I don't think most people want the year on EVERY email...

i prefer having the year on all my mails, then all info/columns in the 'received'-field are aligned.

the year is also missing from the 'created'-attribute in the files-interface.
