UES Migration
Dear all UES users,
UES has moved to its new servers, Dell Poweredge 6600. We have also started to move to Merak Mail Server software, as it is cheaper to Admin, Cheaper to run, has less issues and is faster than our old outdated Atmail 4.03 EDIT, you can now move all your old mail in less than 5 mins to the new system, go watch the video at http://unitedemailsystems.com/x.html All old email is still in your old Atmail box, http://webmail.unitedemailsystems.com/mail (This URL will only be active till May 17th. At that point all old mail will be gone.,) Please go to http://unitedemailsystems.com and login, you will find the easy steps (2) to moving to the new system. Once the new account is setup, webmail,pop3,imap and smtp will work again. We suggest that you forward all email that is important to you from the old system to your new box (so forward email to your email address, and it will show up in the new system. Or you can use webmail.unitedemailsystems.com as your pop server in Outlook and download all your old mail locally. New services we offer; 100% AntiSpam using challenge response 100% Accurate AntiVirus 5 Webmail Skins We hope to be back to 3GB space within the end of this month. -UES Last edited by UnitedEmail : 11 May 2005 at 01:23 PM. |

Yes, it will, but not till all servers are online and fully setup, about one more week.

Perhaps LazurUES should be considered as a domain choice. Last edited by maskull : 11 May 2005 at 05:52 AM. |

Rob,
There is a problem how you set up Challenge/Response. It is always on, even when I select to turn it off, and save. This is what's been happening with my test messages, they have all been going to the Pending area (It would be nice to make Pending accessible by IMAP as in Bluebottle). So please fix the problem of Challenge/Response in Merak being always on. Last edited by war17 : 15 May 2005 at 05:39 PM. |

It's nice to see you're switching to Merak. It's a much easier system to administer. The interface is nice as well - not sure how you're going to set up a paid system with it though (don't you have paid versions? ), but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

There are many thing still being changed over the next few weeks, and as I have asked before please give it some more time before everyone starts to express there feelings on what is wrong, as it is most likley on our list. |

We do have big paid users on a system at rackspace. But I dont deal with it as much, as the free/public system needs all the help it can get. We will later have paid versions for the public, and it will be on merak, as it still allows us to setup groups and diffrent things. |

To use some kind of C/R system should always be a personal decision made by the user. In my case, I can't let my email system to C/R some of my contacts.
Also I am interested in knowing a more precise calendar of the changes to be made at UES (stated at previous post and worth to be know by the user --as the case of C/R not being deactivated--). |
