Calendar Alarm/Alert Not Working (FM & EuMX)
I have both FM and EuMX accounts but don't use either one for calendar items. I use Outlook 2007's calendar instead. The main reason is that I have never gotten an alert/alarm for any event I've even put on the respective calendars. Not for all-day events, not for time specific events.
I use FF and PM (PaleMoon) browsers only and have adblocker add-ons disabled for FM & EuMX and have allowed pop-ups for those sites. But for some reason I still don't get notifications. Since my EuMX account is the free/guest account for EMD members, perhaps the explanation for that issue (for the calendar in the new After Logic interface) is the lack of a premium account. But for FM? (I realize I can have the FM event alert me via email, but I'm still interested in why there's no notification.) Not a huge deal, but any suggestions/input? |

Firefox notification dialog works but is short
For Fastmail (current web interface) this works fine with Firefox 48.0.2 (and other versions since 44) on Windows. The Fastmail web interface for you account needs to be running in some tab, but you do not need to be viewing that tab. The pop-up appears in the lower right corner of my primary display for about 12 seconds (set by Firefox). Here is what this looks like on my PC (in the extreme lower right above the taskbar):
http://www.mediafire.com/view/jugg5g...ification.png# For a description of this feature, see: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...urce=inproduct To be sure that Firefox notifications for Fastmail are enabled, enter about:preferences#content in the URL bar (or go to Options>Content). In the Notifications area, be sure that Do not disturb me is not enabled, then click Choose... on the right and be sure that https://www.fastmail.com is allowed. The quick (12 seconds with Firefox 48.0.2) disappearance of these notifications bothers many users, and there is a project underway to fix this in some way. Thanks, Bill!
But I still have problems. Opening the Choose... page I saw this: http://imgur.com/XjUMizU "fastmail.fm" was already there (obviously I had given such permission for that domain quite some time ago for some reason). I deleted it, since it's of no use any more, but saw no way to add any site, at least not in that pop-up window. On the Web Push link you provided, under the first section (Upgraded Notifications), I followed instructions. While logged in at FM, I clicked the "i" icon in the URL bar, but the "Permissions" option is grayed out. As my original post noted, I've already disabled adblockers and have allowed pop-ups for FM (and EuMX). But apparently some setting common to FF and PM is still keeping me from granting permission for these sites. I'll still poke around and see what I can find, but if you (Bill) or anyone has any suggestions...... Belay that order! I found out how to allow FM permissions. Still working on getting notifications to appear.... Last edited by B4its2L8 : 6 Sep 2016 at 07:37 PM. |

Yes, I know. That's what I meant -- that the only one (address) there was the one that I didn't need because it was the ".fm" tld (which was why I deleted it). But I still can't figure out how to add the proper address to that notification page.

I think it automatically appears when you use that install of Firefox with Fastmail and set up a calendar invite on that PC using Firefox. As far as I know, it appeared automatically for me.
